The Best Way To Earn On EBAY

A New Way To Make Money With eBay

When you hear "eBay" and "money" in the same sentence
your probably think of becoming an eBay seller.

You place product listings in the eBay marketplace, buyers bid, you pay your
eBay seller fees and what you have left is your profit margin.

There is, however, another way to build a business which still revolves around
eBay but which doesn’t involve you selling a single thing in the eBay
marketplace.

This "other way" opportunity is based on the eBay affiliate program
and a great tool which makes entry into this opportunity not only
possible but also super easy. This tool is called "Build
A Niche Store
".

Now if you don’t know – an affiliate program enables you as an
individual internet entrepreneur to promote the products of a company in exchange
for a commission on all sales that you refer.

You are basically operating as an internet middleman and connecting internet
browsers to particular products and companies through you own network of websites
and marketing methods.

If we return to the eBay affiliate program, eBay actually invites you to
promote all of the product listings in the eBay marketplace and in exchange
for your efforts will pay you up to 75% of the revenue they make from each
sale you refer plus up to $35 for each new active eBay member you refer.

You can have a read about the eBay.com
affiliate program here

What this means is that you can earn up to three quarters of eBay’s
revenue simply for connecting people to the products listed in the eBay marketplace.

Not only do you get to partner with the best branded marketplace in the world,
you also get access to and control over ALL of the products listed in this
marketplace. The eBay product inventory becomes YOUR product inventory and
yet you do NOT have to stock items, deal with customers, organize shipping
or process refunds.

You are no longer limited to selling only those products which you can buy
and sell for a profit margin. You can choose ANY niche market and promote
those eBay products relevant to your chosen niche outside of the eBay marketplace,
funnelling targeted traffic through to eBay and into your own affiliate commissions.

Golf clubs, sewing kits, laptops, dog collars, diamond rings, Florida real
estate…

If you know eBay you know how BIG it is – there are NO limits.

At this point you might be thinking - well this sounds interesting but in
reality is there any money in it? Well, here’s the shocker – eBay's
top affiliates make over 1 million dollars a month. That’s right –
8 figures a year without stocking, selling or shipping a single thing!

Now eBay does provide some basic free tools to help you succeed as an eBay
affiliate and build an affiliate business BUT it has been the development
of a tool outside of eBay that has really opened this up as a legitimate business
opportunity.

The tool, as I mentioned earlier, is called "Build
A Niche Store
" and what it enables you to do is build eBay affiliate
websites targeted to any eBay niche you want. These act as the medium through
which you funnel targeted visitors to eBay.

Here are a couple of examples, one targeting Race Cars and the other Golf
Equipment:

Race Car eBay Affiliate Website

Golf eBay Affiliate Website

As you can see, these are professional looking websites that contain all
of those eBay products related to their target niche inside a searchable store
format, each of which automatically contains your eBay affiliate id.

These stores then automatically update as new products are listed for sale
and old listing expire from the eBay marketplace and the software has built
in development features which enable you to create new store pages, add content
to these pages, create content pages, modify your template etc etc.

Basically, in the space of about 10 minutes (once you are familiar with how
the software works) you can create a fully functional eBay affiliate website
targeted to the niche market of your choice.

Your store content is all search engine friendly which will provide the foundation
for attracting targeted traffic from the search engines and you can then use
the development features to attract more targeted visitors which will in turn
mean more eBay affiliate commissions.

It really is a brilliant concept and I’ve been hearing great things
about the guys behind the project and the member forum which you get lifetime
access to when you purchase the product.

Build A Niche Store comes with a step by step user manual which will walk
even the most technically inexperienced through setting up their eBay affiliate
website, 9 professional template layouts which can be customized (from inside
your admin panel) to match your target niche, lifetime member forum access,
comprehensive product support and possibly most importantly – an UNLIMITED
domain license which means you can build as many of these niche websites as
you want for the small one time fee.

Think about how many niches eBay caters to!

How big could your eBay affiliate business be?!

Why You Aren't Making Money Driving

I'll give you my "opinions" on why some drivers just don't make money.I will say this now, so you know, the number one answer is YOU. Your "ATTITUDE" towards the company, dispatcher, customers, other drivers, EVERYONE. In every company I have worked for YOU are there. The person who complains, on a daily basis,to any available ear, about anything. No matter where you work you will never be happy or liked. I'm not going to tell you to start kissing ass(too much).I will tell you what I do to get the "GOOD LOADS". This is also how I became successful in almost every company I have worked for. This includes non-trucking.

I may have to do this in several posts.

PROVE YOURSELF. If you are the newbie at your company, yes, you also have to prove yourself to the dispatcher sorry, driver manager, the other drivers and shippers/receivers. I mean do the job you were hired to do.Don't mope, groan and complain.Unless you have a VERY GOOD reason not to, take the load given to you. I don't care where it is going! How short/long it is. Ask for help even if you think you know the answer. I would rather feel stupid once then feel stupid for my duration with the company,by destroying something. I should use the word RESPECT. You want it and so does everyone else. You must respect the knowledge of others around you. I'm not saying act dumb, rather be teachable. No one knows everything. Not even the teachers.

YOU ARE HERE TO WORK! If you were to give my name to the companies that I have worked for they would almost immediately know who I am but I can't remember most of their names. WHY? I'm there to work and that's what I do.I learn my job and do it very well. I'm not trying to brag but that is one of the reasons I get the good loads. I don't stand around for hours complaining to other drivers about the crappy loads I get. I DO GET THEM ALSO,but they wouldn't know because I don't complain. I am there to work. I'm not trying to make friends. I'm there to take care of MY families needs. I'm not rude to most. I just can't stand people that want something for nothing. Here's an example: The last company I worked for one driver was always an my ass about getting all the good loads. What he didn't see was that I was at work at 1am and when he saw me at 7 or 8 or 9am I was on my second load. What he also didn't see were the 5 unit loads I was getting to PA.(we didn't usually go to PA and we average 7 units per load)After months of his "JUST JOKING" I had enough and told him "If I'm not responsible for feeding your family don't concern yourself with what I do to feed mine". Well he never made another comment to my face and he was fired soon after for other reasons.
What other drivers think doesn't really bother me. My family is well fed.

Don't blow up! What ever you do DON'T blow up at your boss. This is one of the most important things to remember. If you don't start getting decent loads after a couple of months you need to SCHEDULE some private time with the load planner. DON'T accuse or be argumentative in any way. You want a discussion about what YOU can do for THEM to get better loads. They may have 20,30,60 drivers to deal with and you may find that your load planner didn't even know you were that unhappy with the loads. If you blow up you WILL lose any hope of getting ANY good loads.

So I've had about 4 hours of sleep since Sunday morning. I'm done for now. I'll end with this thought: Some will call me anti-social. I say "MAYBE" but I make money driving!!!

P.S. I encourage comments. I will come up with more ways to increase your income. I'm also looking at this so called trucker strike.

HOURS OF SERVICE

I took a load to CT today and as I was driving I started to think about how rediculous the hours of service regs are.I wonder why the transportation industry is singled out. The government wants us to believe it is because of safety. I can't believe that. If safety was really a concern they wouldn't penalize us for taking a nap when it is needed for safety. We are forced to drive when we are tired because we don't want to waste our 14 hours on duty. They really believe that working 14 hours straight is safer than splitting our sleeper birth time.

O.K. so you take your ten hour break. What do you do? I'm a single parent. I have a sitter come over 3-5 nights a week. Nights with the sitter I get up @ 12:30am. Work until I get my daughter from school @ 2:30pm. Then I get homework, dinner, shower then bed, sometime around 8pm(my daughter). Then I have dishes, laundry, make lunches,MY shower and other chores. If I'm lucky I'm in bed by 10 pm. YIPPY! I might get a few hours of sleep then "RINSE AND REPEAT".

Why aren't the PLOICE regulated the same way? They are on the road also. One of my best friends is a state trooper. They can work their 8-12 hour shift then go work O.T. in a construction zone for another 8 hours. Not only are they a hazard on the road, the same as a truck driver,THEY ARE CARRYING GUNS. OH! I know the difference now, they aren't driving an 80,000 pound vehicle!

What about your doctor? How many hours has he been at work. They hold your life in their hands. Thats fine because it's only one life.

The stupidity of the regulations of this industry is getting the better of me these days. I'm SURE I'm not the only one. I encourage your comments on this subject. I also put a a poll about logs. I wanted to know how many of us run REAL TIME logs. I don't mean just making it LOOK legal. Real time means NO fudging it to gain more driving time. If you get stuck in traffic for 2 hours do you log 2 or do you log it as if you weren't in a traffic jam? Including myself I have NEVER met a driver that has run with a REAL TIME log. Have you?

That's all I have for now. Be safe on your next journey!

Friday, April 4, 2008

I have been broken, not physically, but by this industry. I have been driving for 13 years now and I am tired. When I became a truck driver I loved the freedom. After a few years I realised that I really didn't have the freedom I once thought I did. We have schedules to keep, pick-up/delivery times. I also thought I would be able to SEE this great country. Reality soon set in. I did see the country but it was at 65 mph. Most scenic places I would have liked to stop "NO TRUCKS ALLOWED" or "YOU NEED TO BE THERE ASAP".

The truth is that I was fed up after 6 months long haul. I went to local driving for a few years and was not making as much money. I finally found a regional company to work for. They were great.I was home usually every other night. Then in 2000 my daughter was born. I did about three more months then had to be home every night. Unable to find a good paying local driving position I sold cars for 6 months or so. I was making good money but I couldn't handle being STUCK on that 5 acre lot 6 days a week 10 hours a day. I hated selling, having 3 managers up my rear all day, complaining customers and that car lot, I had to get out!

The start of my car hauling career. I started hauling totaled cars going to auction. That was pretty decent money. I only had one boss and I was DRIVING again. All was going well for about three years. Then I transfered to another city with this company and put an offer on a house. The offer was accepted. When I get to work three days later I get the NEWS. The company doesn't want to own trucks. They are going strictly O/O,so buy a truck or find another job. Well I hung there til they auctioned the last company truck. I went to work for a food service company. Now I'm not a lazy person BUT that was too much work for little pay.( lasted five weeks)

I found big money! Well it was big for me. I think it was two years then they sold out. The new owners ran the company into bankruptcy within a year. Now I'm with another car haul company that pays about the same but they make the driver pay for damages. Took our good health insurance and replaced it with crap.
Some where in all of this I became a single parent. So the BROKEN part of the blog name has to do with the trucking industry. They broke me. I'm tired of all the changes. Now with fuel getting closer to five dollars a gallon,I must wonder how long this fairly small company can hold on.

That's the short version of my trucking life. I know some will say "IT'S NOT THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY! IT'S YOUR CHOICES!" That's a fair statement. I work with what I know.
What's next? I'm working on building a website. When it is up I will let you know.I haven't really decided what it will be yet.
